PHOENIX, Ariz. 
 - Beau Leroux and Angel Iniguez both had three shots to lead San José State in a 1-0 loss to Grand Canyon (7-6-3, 4-2-2) on Sunday afternoon.

  • David Sweeney made two saves.
  • The Spartans outshot Grand Canyon, 11-6.
  • A trio of Spartans, Eduardo Miranda, Kasper Poulsgaard and Finlay Wood, played all 90 minutes.
  • The Spartans move into a tie with Grand Canyon for third place in the WAC but are technically the fourth seed since the tiebreaker is head-to-head record.
  • The Spartans are one point back of Seattle (6-8-1, 5-3-0)
    • Seattle holds the coveted second seed in the conference; the top two seeds earn byes in the WAC Men's Soccer Tournament. 

UP NEXT: The Spartans return home for Senior Night on Friday, November 4th. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. against Seattle with a potential playoff bye at stake.
