SJSU Falls in Season Opener On The Road



TULSA, Okla— Jada Holland led the way with 11 points and Marisa Davis-Jones led the way with 10 rebounds as San Josè State (0-1, 0-0 MW) fell on the road to Tulsa (2-0, 0-0 AAC) 74-44. 

Looking Back

  • Davis-Jones (7), Aarion Nichols (6) and Jasmine Singleton (7) also all contributed a total of 20 points by game's end.
  • Amhyia Moreland (7), Nailea Nicholas (5) and Singleton (4) each contributed another 16 rebounds to the game. 
  • The Spartans caused Tulsa to commit 21 turnovers on the evening.
  • SJSU outscored Tulsa 16-13 in the third quarter forcing them to shoot just 35 percent from the field for the quarter.
  • SJSU held Tulsa to just 5/22 shooting from the three-point line.
