SAN DIEGO - Chevan Cordeiro threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for one touchdown to lead San José State (6-3, 4-2 Mountain West) in a 43-27 loss to San Diego State (6-4, 4-2 Mountain West) on Saturday night.
- Cordeiro had a three-yard touchdown rush, his eighth rushing touchdown of the season which is the most in a single season by a Spartans quarterback in the modern era.
- Cordeiro recorded three passing touchdowns for the first time in a game this season.
- Cordeiro and Elijah Cooks connected on a four-yard touchdown pass for the fifth receiving touchdown of the season for Cooks.
- Skylar Loving-Black collected his second receiving touchdown of the season and recorded a personal single-game career high of 35 receiving yards.
- Isaiah Hamilton scored his first touchdown of the season on a 21-yard reception.
- Kyle Harmon and Lando Grey both registered their respective third sacks of the season.
- Michael Dansby caught his first career interception.
- Jordan Pollard led the Spartans with five solo tackles.
- The Spartans committed only one penalty, the fewest penalties they have committed since October 21, 2021.
