- Harper had a hot hitting night as she recorded 13 kills on 24 attempts and no errors for a .542 percentage. She also had seven digs and a block assist.
- Nelson added 12 kills and hit .375 for the match. She tied her career-high with five service aces to lead the team.
- Nelson now has exactly 1,400 kills in her Spartan career and needs 26 to move into fifth place.
- Sarah Smevog led the Spartans with 14 digs and inched closer to ninth all-time in MW history. She ends the night with 1,681 career digs and needs just two more to tie for ninth.
- With the win, San José State is now 20-7 on the season and 14-3 in the MW. The Spartans reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 2001 season when that team finished 25-8.
- The 14 conference wins also sets a school record for the most conference wins by any SJSU team. No team had won more than 13 conference matches in a season.
- The Spartans also clinched the second seed for the Mountain West Tournament and the best finish for SJSU in MW play since joining the conference in 2013.
- As the second seed, San José State has a bye into the semifinals and plays the winner of the 3/6 match on Thursday, November 24, at 1 p.m. MT/12 p.m. PT.
