NORTHRIDGE, CALIF. — Jada Holland (14) and Sidney Richards (13) led the way with a combined 27 points as San Josè State (1-2, 0-0 MW) earned their first win under head coach April Phillips over Cal State Northridge (0-5, 0-0 BW) 48-42.
- The Spartans held CSUN to just 35.6 percent and forced 27 turnovers in comparison to committing just 17 on their end.
- Amhyia Moreland contributed nine points and eight rebounds including swishing the last two free throws of the game to give SJSU a six point lead.
- Marisa Davis-Jones put in another nine rebounds to lead all players.
- Richards also recorded four made threes, while Holland wracked up five steals, one shy of her career high.
- This win marks Coach Phillips' first win as a head coach at the Division I level.
Next Up: SJSU will return home to play against Montana State on Tuesday, November 22 at 6:00 p.m. PT at the Provident Credit Union Center.
