SAN JOSE, Calif. — It was a career night for sophomore forward Marisa Davis-Jones with 22 points, but SJSU (1-3, 0-0 MW) fell 74-65 in overtime to Montana State (3-1, 0-0 Big Sky). Davis-Jones did it on 7/14 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and two assists.
- Aarion Nichols dropped 16 points, six boards and two assists, her best performance this season overall.
- Sabrina Ma added nine points on three threes, a new season high for the freshman sharp shooter.
- Jasmine Singleton added seven points to go along with the layup to tie the game up at the end of regulation and send it into overtime.
- Davis-Jones had 10 free throw attempts, and eight makes to keep the game close.
- The Spartans shot 46 percent from the field in the first quarter alone, their biggest lead of the game being 13 points.
- Amhyia Moreland also had three steals of the team's 12 total.
