NASSAU, Bahamas—Trey Anderson scored a season-high 16 points and was perfect from the field, but the San José State men's basketball team committed 20 turnovers in a 69-54 loss to North Texas Friday afternoon in the first round of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship.

- Anderson was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field including 4-for-4 from three-point range in leading the team in scoring for the first time this season.
- Omari Moore added nine points in the loss, grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists.
- All 15 players on the trip saw action in the game with 12 of them scoring at least a point in the game.
- Ryen Perry scored his first points of his Spartan career as he was 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
- The Spartans shot 58.6 percent from the field, but made just 17 of 29 attempts for the game.
- San José State committed 20 turnovers and dished out only nine assists.

UP NEXT – The Spartans continue play at the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship on Saturday with a game against Oakland beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT. Oakland fell to Long Beach State, 78-70, in the final game of Friday.
