FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Haylee Nelson and Sarah Smevog led the Spartan volleyball team Friday night in kills and digs, respectively, as the second-seeded San José State volleyball team fell 3-1 to fourth-seeded Utah State in the Mountain West Championship match Friday night inside Moby Arena.

- Nelson led the team with 13 kills and moved into fifth place all-time at San José State in career kills with 1,439 kills.
- Smevog had 10 more digs to add to career total of 1,734 digs, good for second all-time at SJSU.
- Nelson and Smevog were named to the Mountain West All-Tournament team.
- Jiana Lawson and Blaire Fleming led the Spartan blocking attack with four block assists each.
- Amethyst Harper added nine kills and three blocks, while Yazmin Pitpit had three kills and three blocks.
- Mia Schafer recorded 19 assists, while Carly Aigner-Swesey had 17 assists.
- The Spartans won the first set, 26-24, before the Aggies took the final three.
