Spartans Fall to UTEP at Holiday Classic

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Jada Holland recorded a season-high 20 points as SJSU (1-4, 0-0 MW) fell 67-54 to UTEP (5-0, 0-0 C-USA) on the first day of the Holiday Classic at Cal Poly. 

  • Marisa Davis-Jones added another double-double of 10 points and 10 boards to lead all rebounders. 
  • Aarion Nichols added eight points to go along with three assists and three rebounds. 
  • Alani Fluker added six points and three assists on 75% shooting from the field. 
  • The Spartans led through the first three quarters and shot 42 percent from the field. 
  • Jasmine Singleton also contributed four points of her own. 

Up Next: The Spartans will play against host Cal Poly (2-4, 0-0 BW) in the second game of the Holiday Classic on Saturday, November 26 at 2:30 p.m. PT at the Mott Athletic Center.
