ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The No. 3 seed San José State Spartans battle the No. 1 seed Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday night in the Mountain West Championship Match.
- The Spartans advanced to the Championship Match after winning a penalty kick shootout in a 0-0 draw versus the No. 2 seed New Mexico.
- In the quarterfinals, the Spartans defeated the No. 6 seed Colorado College, 1-0.
- For the Spartans, it is their first trip to the Mountain West Championship Match since 2018.
- The Wyoming Cowgirls qualified for the Championship Match after winning 1-0 over the No. 5 seed San Diego State in the semifinals.
- The Spartans faced the Cowgirls earlier this season, a 2-1 win for Wyoming on October 23rd.
- The Spartans led 1-0 from the 4th minute until the 49th minute but gave up the lead after going down a woman because of a red card.
- The Spartans are 6-4-1 all-time against the Cowgirls.
