TULSA, Okla.— San Josè State Women's Basketball (0-0, 0-0 MW) opens up the 2022-23 season against Tulsa (0-0, 0-0 AAC) on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. PT in Tulsa, OK, then will return home for their home opener against Cal State Fullerton (0-0, 0-0 Big West).
- In SJSU's lone exhibition game against Cal State Monterey Bay, senior guard Jada Holland led the way for the Spartans with 19 points.
- Marisa Davis-Jones (10) Sidney Richards (9), Jasmine Singleton (7) and Amhyia Moreland (10) and Holland combined for 55 of SJSU's 81 total points Thursday night.
- Head Coach April Phillips is entering her very first season as a head coach, but her assistant coaching pedigree speaks for itself with previous stops at Texas, University of Arizona, Cal and LMU among other Division I institutions.
- Tulsa and SJSU have only played each other four times in history, the most recent happening in 2002 where SJSU won both times.
- SJSU added 10 new athletes for the 2022-23 season.
