ARLINGTON, Texas — San José State goalkeeper David Sweeney has been named the WAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Spartans 1-0 win over Seattle U on Friday, November 4th.

- Recorded six saves in the win over Seattle U.
- Moved into seventh all-time in career saves by a Spartans goalkeeper.
- Earned his conference-leading sixth shutout of the season.
- Helped the Spartans clinch the second seed in the WAC Men's Soccer Tournament.
Sweeney and the Spartans next match is scheduled for Friday, November 11th in the WAC Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals. The Spartans will play either Grand Canyon or Seattle U in Riverside, Calif.
