SAN JOSE, Calif. - The 2022 Mountain West Conference Champion San José State Spartans (8-6-7. 6-3-2 MW) will play at Stanford (16-2-2, 9-1-1 Pac 12) in the first round of the 2022 Division I Women's Soccer Tournament. The match will take place on Friday, Nov. 11th at 7 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium. The bracket was announced on Monday afternoon on NCAA.com.
- The Spartans earned an automatic bid after defeating Wyoming in penalty kicks to win the Mountain West Championship.
- SJSU will be making its second appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last five years.
- The Spartans previously qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2018.
- This will be the Spartans fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament overall.
- Stanford qualified with an automatic bid after winning the Pac-12 title.
