KANSAS CITY, Mo. 
— San José State midfielder Beau Leroux and center back Kasper Poulsgaard were named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Far West Region Third Team on Tuesday.

Beau Leroux, Sophomore, Midfielder, San Jose, Calif./Santa Theresa High School

  • Fourth in the WAC Conference in goals with seven.
  • Led the conference with 54 shots.
  • Sixth in the conference in total points with 16.

Kasper Poulsgaard, Senior, Defender, Hedenstack, Denmark/Campus Vejle

  • Started in 16 matches.
  • Played all 90 minutes in 16 matches.
  • Led the Spartans to a conference-leading six shutouts.

This is the first time in program history that two Spartans have been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Region Team in the same season.

Leroux and Poulsgaard are the first Spartans since 2018 to make the All-Region Team. From 2015-2018, a Spartan made the All-Region Team for four consecutive seasons: Rory Knibbs (2015), Jonathan Colunga (2016) and Andy Rios (2017, 2018).
