SAN JOSE, Calif. - Omar Gastelum drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning and Robert Hamchuk tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a RBI single to lead San José State (6-3) to a walk-off, 10-inning victory, over San Francisco (5-4), 6-5, on Tuesday at Excite Ballpark. Right-handed pitcher Darren Jansen (2-0) tossed a perfect 10th inning with three strikeouts for the win on the mound.
Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth inning, James Shimashita came in to pinch hit and drilled a double to the right-center field gap to put a runner in scoring position. Brady Hill executed a perfect bunt single to third base and then stole second to place Spartans at second and third with no outs. Gastelum, who entered the game in the ninth inning, delivered a base hit to center field on the first pitch to drive in the game-winning run and walk-off the Dons.

- Hill finished 2-for-3, with two bunt singles and a walk
- Hamchuk extended his hitting streak to six games with a 1-for-4 performance
- RHP Aaron Eden worked 5.0 strong innings, allowing just one earned run and struck out two

- Danny Zimmerman and Jackson Forbes each drove in runs for the Spartans
- Nick Yovetich homered for USF and leadoff hitter Luke Keaschall went 2-for-4 with one RBI
