Davis-Jones Records Double-Double in SJSU's Loss to San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif.
—Marisa Davis-Jones had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead San José State women's basketball (3-18, 1-9 MW) in a 59-39 loss to San Diego State (18-5, 8-2) on Saturday afternoon.

  • For Davis-Jones, it was the second double-double of her career. She registered 10 points and 10 rebounds against UTEP on November 25th, 2022.
  • The sophomore forward was an efficient 5-6 from the free throw line against San Diego State. She entered the day having made 25 free throws in conference play this season which was the fourth most in the Mountain West.
  • Aarion Nichols scored 10 points. The graduate student also tied her career high of seven rebounds.
  • Jasmine Singleton led the Spartans with two steals and Jada Holland picked up one steal. 
  • Holland has recorded at least one steal in 19 straight games and Singleton has recorded at least one steal in 13 straight games.
