RESULTS
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Emilia Sjostrand won her second Triple Jump event of the season by setting a new school record with a distance of 13.37m (43'9") and San Jose State concluded the University of New Mexico Indoor Open with a successful second day of competition.
- Sjostrand has now won three events in three competitions, taking the Triple Jump at the Spokane Indoor Invitational two weeks ago and the Long Jump at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational last week. Her mark of 13.37m in New Mexico was .82m (2'6") farther than second place finisher Asha Fletcher from UC Berkeley, and it put her at 6th in the NCAA nationally
- Alyssa Bean came in second place in the Women's 400m Dash after winning the 200m Dash on the first day of competition. She set a school record in the Women's 400m Dash with a time of 54.91
- Jaden Smith finished third in the Men's 400m Dash with a time of 47.68
- Roman Johnson finished third in the Men's 60m Dash with a time of 6.77
- Aliyah Williams came in second place in the Women's 800m Run with a time of 2:14.10
- The Women's 4x400 relay team took first place with strong efforts from Bean, Williams, Kaylen Fletcher and Kaiya Johnson
