ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Alyssa Bean and Emilia Sjostrand have both won MW Track and Field honors coming out of the University of New Mexico Indoor Open in which SJSU participated last weekend. Bean won the Women's 200m Dash and placed second in the Women's 400m, while Sjostrand won the Triple Jump with a school-record setting distance of 13.37m.
- Bean won her first career MW weekly award with a 200m time of 23.92 and a school-record setting time of 54.91
- This is Sjostrand's second MW weekly award of the season, after winning the same award after her Triple Jump performance at the Spokane Indoor Open
- Sjostrand's Triple Jump puts her at 6th ranked in the NCAA and is also a top ten jump in her home country of Sweden
