Moore Scores 22, But Spartans Come Up Just Short in Boise

BOISE, Idaho -
 Omari Moore scored 22 points, 18 in the second half, but the San José State (11-5, 2-1 MW) comeback fell just short as the Spartans lost at Boise State (11-4, 1-1 MW), 67-64, Tuesday evening inside ExtraMile Arena.

  • Moore, who recorded his fifth 20 plus point game of the season, was 9-of-16 from the floor and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. He also dished out six assists, accounting for another 14 points for the Spartan offense. (No. 3 Play on SportsCenter)
  • The game was tied 64-64 before Boise State's Marcus Shaver Jr., hit a deep three with two seconds remaining to give the Broncos the win.
  • Ibrahima Diallo scored a season-high 12 points, going 6-for-7 from the field including four dunks.
    • The MW leader in blocked shots, Diallo recorded five more Tuesday night to bring his season total to 36.
  • Alvaro Cardenas added 12 points, six rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes of action.
  • San José State trailed by as many as 14 early in the second half at 52-38, before the team used an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 52-46.
  • The Spartans took their first lead of the game at 62-61 on a Moore three-pointer and led 64-63 on a Robert Vaihola layup on an Alvaro assist.
