LAS VEGAS – The Spartans' women's basketball team (3-21, 1-12 MW) starts a two-game road trip on Thursday against UNLV (24-2, 14-0 MW), who currently sits atop the Mountain West Conference.
- The Spartans are coming off an 80-55 loss against San Diego State at home on Saturday
- Jada Holland led the Spartans for the second straight game with 19 points
- Aarion Nichols continued her strong play off the bench, scoring 11 points, her fifth straight contest with double-digits
- Alani Fluker scored a career-high seven points to go along with six rebounds
- Jasmine Singleton finished with four steals in extend her streak of games with at least one takeaway to 16 games, while Holland's two steals extended her streak to 22 straight games
VS UNLV
- The Spartans fell short 84-58 in the first meeting on Jan. 11 in San Jose
- The Lady Rebels are in first place in the Mountain West and are the only undefeated team in conference play
- UNLV ranks first in four categories (points per game, scoring margin, FG percentage, 3PT FG percentage) in conference play
- The Spartans are second in the conference in total steals and steals per game during league play, and they are third in offensive rebounds per game
