Spartans Crush Day Two of Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championship

HOUSTON - Ela Freiman finished 10th with a 2:01.28 in the 200-yard IM to record the third fastest time in SJSU history. While Jenna Jagielski finished eighth in the preliminary round of the 3-meter dive to advance to the final round. She was the first program finalist since 2017, helping lead the Spartans in day two of the Mountain West Swim and Dive Championship at the Campus and Recreation Center Natatorium on the campus of the University of Houston. The Spartans scored 251 points through two days. 

  • Zsófia Muzsnay finished 11th in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:53.02.
  • Amelia Snyder swam a 4:56.05 in the 500-yard freestyle to record the seventh fastest time in SJSU history. 
  • Laís Gasparini e Silva, swam a 23.33 in the 50-yard freestyle to finish 12th. 
  • Defending champion San Diego State leads the championship after the first day, tallying 663 points, while SJSU is currently in eighth place with 251 points.
