SAN JOSE, Calif.—
Irena Muradyan, Jovana Babic and Rozalina Youseva won each of their matches but San José State (3-4) narrowly lost to Grand Canyon University (2-5) 4-3 in a dual match at the Spartan Tennis Complex on Friday.

  • Youseva and Muradyan won together in doubles 6-3. Muradyan won her singles match 6-3, 6-2 to lead SJSU with 10 singles wins this season.
  • Youseva won her singles match 6-7 (7-5), 6-1, 6-4 for the second-most singles wins on the season with eight.
  • Babic won her seventh singles match this season 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. She now has the third-most wins on the squad.
  • Alba Pedrero Galindo fell in a narrow third set tiebreaker 10-8 in the final match of the day. 

UP NEXT: SJSU will host the USF Dons (2-3) at noon Feb. 24 at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
