LOS ANGELES–Hunter Dorraugh and Jack Colette each went 3-for-5 while LHP Jack White pitched three scoreless innings to lead San José State (1-0, 0-0 Mountain West) in a 7-6 win over Loyola Marymount (0-1, 0-0 West Coast Conference) on Friday night at Page Stadium.
- Dorraugh had two doubles, an RBI and also scored a run.
- Colette's three hits were all singles and he also picked up an RBI and scored a run.
- Theo Hardy registered the first RBIs of the season, knocking in two runs with a single in the second inning.
- White earned his first career win. He pitched in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, giving up only one hit while recording three strikeouts.
- RHP Jonathan Clark started the game and allowed only two earned runs on four hits in five innings.
- The Spartans scored four runs in the top of the seventh as Colette, Dorraugh, Jackson Forbes, Dalton Bowling and Charles McAdoo all had hits in the inning.
