SAN JOSE, Calif.—San José State sophomore Alvaro Cardenas is one of 156 men's basketball players nationally to be selected to the Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The honorees now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. To be recognized, student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically and play in at least 50 percent of a team's games.
