HIGHLIGHTS | RESULTS
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Osayi Omorodion and Lina Schubert led San José State on the first day of competition at the Mountain West Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
- Omorodion started the day off by submitting an event-winning time of 8.50 in the Pentathlon's 60m Hurdles, tying the third-best mark in school history
- Schubert finished sixth overall in the Pentathlon after a solid all-around performance that saw her finish third in the High Jump with a mark of 1.70m (5'7") and included three more top ten event finishes in the competition
- Omorodion would finish in fourth in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.63m (18'5.75") to become SJSU's second-highest finisher in eleventh place overall
- Omorodion was also the Spartans' best shot putter with a mark of 9.27m (30'5")
- The Men's Distance Medley Relay team finished its race with a time of 10:59.67
- SJSU's Women's team is currently in eighth place while the Men's side is in seventh place in the overall team championship competition
