SAN JOSE, Calif.
- Ahmiya Noriega walked off with an inside the park grand slam against Saint Mary's and a two RBI triple against Sacramento State to cause run rules in both and lead San José State (6-7) in a 15-7 win in five innings over Saint Mary's (4-9) and a 10-2 win in five innings over Sacramento State (6-7) on Saturday afternoon from Spartan Softball Stadium in the second day of the SVC Classic I to extend the Spartans win streak to five games.

Ahmiya Noriega ended the day 3-for-9 with six RBIs. Karizma Bergesen went 6-for-6 in the two games with five RBIs and four runs scored. Adrianna Noriega went 4-for-6 with four RBIs and four runs scored. Ashley Rico, Alyssa Graham and Aubrie Thomas each scored four runs in the two games. 

The Spartans longest win streak last season was six games with the first five wins occurring during the SVC Classic I.

Saint Mary's

  • Lacie Ham nailed down her first win of the season going 3.0 IP while only giving up one run on two hits
  • Ahmiya Noriega ended the game going 2-for-5 with four RBIs, an inside the park home run which was her first home run and one run scored
  • Bergesen went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs
  • Reina Zermeno also went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs
  • Adrianna Noriega went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI
  • Graham went 2-for-3 with three runs scored
  • Rico scored two runs and had one RBI
  • Thomas had first stolen base of the season and scored two runs
  • The Spartans swept Saint Mary's this season going 3-0

Sacramento State

  • Jenessa Ullegue led the Spartans going 5.0 IP while allowing two runs and three hits with two strikeouts
  • Ahmiya Noriega hit her second triple of the season and had two RBIs
  • Bergesen went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs
  • Rico went 3-for-3 with two runs
  • Adrianna Noriega went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored
  • Makenzie Hutchinson went 2-for-3 with an RBI
  • Zermeno went 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored
  • Thomas had her second stolen base of the day and scored two runs
