SAN JOSE, Calif. - Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in relief, and Charles McAdoo drove in both runs to lead San José State (2-3) in a 3-2 defeat to Washington (4-2) on Saturday at Excite Ballpark. Left-handed pitcher Micky Thompson (0-1) went 4.0 innings, allowing just a three-run home run in the fourth inning, striking out four.

  • McAdoo finished 1-for-5 with a double and two RBIs
  • Thompson retired the side in the second and third innings, and scattered three hits, three runs and walked two
  • Clark allowed just one hit over his 5.0 innings and fanned three
  • Hunter Dorraugh went 2-for-3 and earned a walk
  • Theo Hardy and Matt Spear each tallied hits for the Spartans
  • UW's RHP Kiefer Lord (1-0) tossed 6.0 innings, allowing five hits, one run and struck out seven for the win
  • The Huskies' Josh Emanuels earned his second save of the season after recording the final out of the game with runners at first and third and two outs for SJSU
