Spartans Fall After Tough Fourth Quarter In Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. – 
The San Jose State women's basketball team (3-19, 1-10 MW) capped off a two-game road trip on Thursday with a 68-54 loss against Wyoming (15-7, 8-3 MW).

  • After trailing 30-21 at the half, the Spartans were down by as many as 15 in the third quarter before going on a 9-0 run to cut it to six with 4:23 remaining in the third quarter.
  • With eight seconds to go in the period, the Cowgirls went back up by eight, but a 3-pointer as time expired from Sabrina Ma made it 44-39 going into the final 10 minutes.
  • Wyoming's offense would prove to be too much in the final quarter, and they would go on to earn the 68-54 win.
  • Aarion Nichols led the way for the Spartans, scoring 11 points while pulling down five rebounds.
  • Jasmine Singleton followed with seven points and a pair of assists.
  • Jada Holland also finished the contest with seven points.
