SAN JOSE, Calif. - Adrianna Noriega hit a walk-off home run to lead San José State (10-14) in a 5-4 win over Rhode Island (2-13) on Sunday afternoon to conclude the SVC Classic II.
The Spartans finished 3-2 in the SVC Classic II and 7-3 combined in both SVC Classic's this season.
- Ad. Noriega went 3-for-4 on the day with two RBIs and two runs scored to go along with the home run
- Ad. Noriega finished the weekend hitting .500 with seven hits, four RBIs, three runs scored, a double, a home run and a .786 slugging pct.
- Alyssa Graham went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and hit her sixth double of the season
- Graham also stole her second base of the season
- Graham hit .385 in the five games of the tournament with five hits, one RBI, two doubles and six runs scored
- Ashley Rico hit an RBI single and scored a run
- Makenzie Hutchinson went 2-for-2 with her third double of the season and an RBI
- Jenessa Ullegue went 1-for-3 while playing center field for the Spartans on Sunday
- Lacie Ham pitched the final two innings and gave up no hits and no runs on the way to her fourth win of the season
- The Spartans went 3-0 against Rhode Island this season
- The start of the game was delayed two hours and twenty-one minutes due to weather
UP NEXT: The Spartans host Maine on Thursday before hosting a three-game conference set with Nevada next weekend with all games being aired on the Mountain West Network.
