PHOENIX, Ariz.—Rebecca Gyllner and Antonia Malate were victorious on Tuesday as the No. 6 San José State women's golf team played against No. 4 South Carolina in the final match for the Spartans at the Cactus Cup hosted at the Papago Golf club.

The Spartans fell to No. 4 South Carolina, 3-2-1.
- Gyllner won all three matches played at the Cactus Cup, winning Tuesday 4&2.
- Malate won her match 1 up, taking the lead after the 15th hole and never relinquishing it.
- Louisa Carlbom tied her match through 18 holes as the two players were tied for the final three holes.
UP NEXT – The Spartans will compete at the Mountain View Collegiate this Friday-Sunday, March 17-19, in Tucson, Ariz.
