SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (10-14, 0-0 MW) hosts Maine (5-15, 0-0 AE) on Thursday and then open their conference slate against Nevada (19-2, 0-0 MW) Friday through Sunday at Spartan Softball Stadium and all games will be seen on the Mountain West Network.

  • Jenessa Ullegue struck out a career- high 13 while going 7.0 IP and letting in only one run in the Spartans 3-1 win over Rhode Island (3/11). It was Ullegue's second complete game of the season and 32nd of her career.
  • Ullegue has 308 career strikeouts and is only the sixth SJSU pitcher to go over 300 strikeouts in her career.
  • Spartans went 7-3 during the SVC Classic's this season and are 3-2 halfway through their 10-game home stand.
  • Adrianna Noriega finished SVC Classic II hitting .500 with seven hits, four RBIs, three runs scored, a double, a home run and a .786 slugging pct.
  • Alyssa Graham also had a great SVC Classic II hitting .385 in the five games of the tournament with five hits, one RBI, two doubles and six runs scored. Graham is ninth in the MW with a .386 batting average.
  • Ullegue on 2/19 against Saint Mary's threw a 7.0 IP one-hitter with nine strikeouts and no runs scored in a 5-0 win. It was Ullegue's second career 7.0 IP one-hitter and she only walked one on the night. It was also the ninth time in Ullegue's career she's thrown 7.0 IP of shutout ball.
  • Lacie Ham has been the go to pitcher for the Spartans. She leads the Spartans with 72.1 IP and 64 strikeouts which is good for second in the MW.
