SAN JOSE, Calif.—Dalton Bowling and Hunter Dorraugh each hit their second home runs of the season to lead the San José State baseball team (6-6, 3-0 Mountain West) in an 8-3 loss to Saint Mary's (5-9, 0-0 West Coast Conference) on Wednesday afternoon at Excite Ballpark.
- Bowling went 2-for-4 while Dorraugh went 1-for-4.
- In addition to a home run, Bowling hit his sixth double of the season which placed him into a tie with Dorraugh and Charles McAdoo for the most doubles on the team.
- McAdoo and Theo Hardy each had two hits.
- Right-handed pitcher Aaron Eden started the game and tossed 2.0 scoreless innings without allowing a hit.
- Right-handed pitchers Darren Jansen and Keaton Chase each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
- Matt Spear threw out two runners attempting to steal second base.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will host Air Force on the weekend. The first game of the three-game series is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. on Friday, March 17.
