SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State women's tennis team (5-5) swept Saint Mary's (4-5) 4-0 on Friday afternoon behind straight-set wins from Carolina Millan, Irena Muradyan and Raquel Villan Pereira.

- The Spartans were able to secure the doubles point after falling behind 1-0 when Jovana Babic and Lara Marco Mas won their tiebreak 7-4 to take the No. 3 match 7-6
- That was followed by a 7-1 tiebreak win by Rozalina Youseva and Muradyan to take the No. 2 match 7-6 and put the Spartans up 1-0
- The Spartans cruised in the singles matches, winning three in straight sets to win the overall match
- Millan secured the No. 2 match 6-3, 6-0
- Muradyan followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 3 match to stay unbeaten on the day
- Pereira was able to secure the win for the Spartans in the No. 6 match with a 6-4, 6-2 win
UP NEXT: The Spartans are scheudled to host the University of San Francisco on Wednesday at 12 p.m. at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
