SAN JOSE, Calif.—Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark tossed 6.0 innings, allowing only three runs on four hits and striking out six to lead the San José State baseball team (6-7, 3-1 Mountain West) in a 9-3 loss to Air Force (7-12, 2-2 Mountain West) in 12 innings on Friday afternoon at Excite Ballpark. Left-handed pitcher Jack White entered the game in relief of Clark and pitched 3.0 scoreless innings, surrendering only one hit and striking out four.
- Charles McAdoo led the Spartans offensively by going 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a single. He also scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning, coming home on a Jeriah Lewis RBI single.
- Nathan Cadena registered his first home run of the year.
- Jake Maroney recorded his first hit of the season.
- Right-handed pitcher Darren Jansen replaced White and tossed 2.0 scoreless innings before giving up the game-winning runs in the top of the 12th inning.
- Theo Hardy led the Spartans with two walks.
- Jack Colette swiped his team-leading fourth stolen base of the season.
