SAN JOSE, Calif. - Jessica Giacoma hit her first triple of the season to lead San José State (13-15, 2-1 MW) in a 9-1 five innings loss to Nevada (20-4, 1-2 MW) on Sunday afternoon at Spartan Softball Stadium. The Spartans though won their first Mountain West series of the season after taking the first two games in the weekend three-game series from the Wolf Pack.
- Giacoma finished the day 1-for-2 and hit .375 during the three games
- Ahmiya Noriega went 1-for-3
- Alyssa Graham scored the Spartans lone run and scored three runs overall in the three games of the series
- Reina Zermeno led the Spartans over the weekend against the Wolf Pack hitting .500 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored, plus a .667 slugging percentage
