SAN JOSE, Calif. - Jenessa Ullegue threw a complete game one-hitter to lead San José State (13-14, 2-0 MW) in a 5-0 win over Nevada (19-4, 0-2 MW) Saturday afternoon at Spartan Softball Stadium to clinch their first conference series win of the season.

This is the second time Ullegue has given up her lone hit in the seventh inning this season and in both games the Spartans won 5-0.

  • Ullegue has pitched three 7.0 IP one-hitters in her career
  • Ullegue struck out 11 batters and has 24 strikeouts in her past two starts
  • It is the 10th time Ullegue has thrown 7.0 IP of shutout softball
  • Reina Zermeno started the scoring for the Spartans in the fourth inning off an infield RBI single
  • Zermeno went 2-for-2 with her third double of a season and scored a run as well
  • Zermeno also stole her fourth base of the season
  • Karizma Bergesen hit a two RBI single in the win
  • Jessica Giacoma went 1-for-3 with an RBI single
  • Ashley Rico hit her sixth double of the season
  • Alyssa Graham went 1-for-3 with a run scored and hit her seventh double of the season to lead the team
  • SJSU has won five in a row overall and look for their first Mountain West series sweep of the season since 2021/
