SAN JOSE, Calif.— Nayeli Tia and Blaire Fleming lead San José State in the sand on Friday when the Spartans take on the University of Portland Pilots in a doubleheader. The first match tips off at 1:00 p.m. and the second will be played immediately afterwards.
- Tia and Fleming won twice in straight sets against Pacific and Santa Clara University last Saturday during a doubleheader
- The Spartans come into Friday 2-0 (0-0 MW) after defeating Santa Clara University 3-2 and Pacific 4-1 their last time on the beach
- Pairs Tessa Rogers and Teila Allen as well as Siena Brewster and Amethyst Harper each won both of their matches last Friday as well
- The Pilots are 0-2 coming into Friday's match with losses against Stanford and Saint Mary's
