SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (13-15, 2-1 MW) hosts Pacific (8-13, 0-0 WCC) in a lone Wednesday afternoon game at 4:00 p.m. from Spartan Softball Stadium and will be seen on the Mountain West Network.
- Jenessa Ullegue pitched her second 7.0 IP one-hitter of the season vs. Nevada (3/18) while striking out 11 which earned her her first Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors (3/21). Ullegue has twice gone to the seventh inning with a no hitter this season and has 24 strikeouts in her last two starts on the mound.
- It was Ullegue's third career 7.0 IP one-hitter and she only walked one on the night. It was also the 10th time in Ullegue's career she's thrown 7.0 IP of shutout ball.
- Ullegue has 319 career strikeouts and is only the sixth SJSU pitcher to go over 300 strikeouts in her career.
- Spartans took 2-of-3 against Nevada to open their Mountain West campaign last weekend and are 6-3 during their 10-game homestand.
- Adrianna Noriega finished SVC Classic II hitting .500 with seven hits, four RBIs, three runs scored, a double, a home run and a .786 slugging pct. Noriega also hit a game-winning two RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Nevada, 5-4 (3/17).
- Alyssa Graham also had a great SVC Classic II hitting .385 in the five games of the tournament with five hits, one RBI, two doubles and six runs scored. Graham is 11th in the MW with a .365 batting average.
- Lacie Ham has been the go to pitcher for the Spartans. She leads the Spartans with 82.0 IP and 75 strikeouts which is good for third in the MW.
- Ullegue on 2/19 against Saint Mary's threw a 7.0 IP one-hitter with nine strikeouts and no runs scored in a 5-0 win.
UP NEXT: The Spartans head to the University of New Mexico for three games and their first road series of the conference season starting on Friday with first pitch set for 5:00 p.m. (PT) and it can be seen on the Mountain West Network.
