SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (14-15, 2-1 MW) heads to the University of New Mexico (13-17, 1-2 MW) for a three-game conference series starting Friday at 5:00 p.m. (PT) from Lobo Softball Field in Albuquerque, N.M. on the Mountain West Network.

  • Jenessa Ullegue pitched her second 7.0 IP one-hitter of the season vs. Nevada (3/18) while striking out 11 which earned her her first Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors (3/21). Ullegue has twice gone to the seventh inning with a no hitter this season and has 24 strikeouts in her last two starts on the mound. 
  • It was Ullegue's third career 7.0 IP one-hitter and she only walked one on the night. It was also the 10th time in Ullegue's career she's thrown 7.0 IP of shutout ball.
  • Ullegue has 319 career strikeouts and is only the sixth SJSU pitcher to go over 300 strikeouts in her career.
  • The Spartans took 2-of-3 against Nevada to open their Mountain West campaign last weekend and went 7-3 during their 10-game homestand.
  • SJSU's walk-off win against Pacific (3/22) is their third true walk-off win of the season (URI on 3/12, UNR on 3/17). The Spartans also have two run rule walk-off's this season against Saint Mary's (2/25) and Sac State (2/25) with both ending in five innings.
  • The Spartans stole eight bases in their win against Pacific (3/22). The eight stolen bases tied an SJSU record (2/26/05, Delaware) and the Spartans are second in the MW with 43 on the season.
  • Adrianna Noriega finished SVC Classic II hitting .500 with seven hits, four RBIs, three runs scored, a double, a home run and a .786 slugging pct. Noriega also hit a game-winning two RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Nevada, 5-4 (3/17) and had three stolen bases against Pacific (3/22).
