STANFORD, Calif.— Jaida Ward and Cheyenne Rice had a strong showing out of the No. 1 spot to lead San José State against USF and Stanford on Monday.
- Amethyst Harper and Siena Brewster won over USF's Branson Lennon and Claire Crijns 21-12, 21-16
- Ward and Rice won an epic first set 26-24 over USF's McKenna Towne and Letizia Aquilino and took the second as well, 21-16
- Rice and Ward also led the Spartans in points scored against the Cardinal in a single set, peaking at 19 in their first set against Stanford's Xolani Hodel and Maddi Kriz
- Anna Salmon and Meredith Scott defeated USF's Sophia Solomon and Isadora Nicolai 21-17, 18-21, 17-15 to secure the dual win for the Spartans
- Salmon's match win over USF was the first of her collegiate career
UP NEXT: The Spartans will next travel to Moraga, Calif. on Thursday, April 13 to take on Sacramento State and Saint Mary's College
