EUGENE, Ore. – Carl Corpus finished tied for seventh and Kristopher Stiles put together a strong third round to finish inside the top 20 as the San José State men's golf team finished fourth overall at The Duck with a third-round 292 (+8).
- Corpus shot a final-round 73 (+2) to finish in a tie for seventh place with a total score of 216 (+3).
- Stiles had a strong final round, shooting a 71 (E) with three birdies on the back nine to finish in a tie for 14th place with a total score of 219 (+6).
- Kotaro Murata had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting a 72 (+1) in the final round.
- The Spartans were excellent on the par 5's, shooting a combined 10-under-par and averaging 4.78 strokes per hole, both second in the field.
- SJSU finished fourth in combined birdies with 34, 14 of which came in the final round.
- Caleb Shetler shot 5-under-par on the par 5's for the week, which was tied for first in the field.
- Corpus shot even par on the par 3's, third in the field.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will make a quick turnaround and compete in The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford, on Thursday-Saturday at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
