AUGUSTA, Ga.—San José State women's golfer Antonia Malate shot a 1-over 73 on Thursday and is tied for ninth at 1-under 143 to advance to the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA) on Saturday to be played at Augusta National Golf Club.
- Malate advances to the final round for the second consecutive tournament.
- She started her second round with an eagle on the par-5 #3. She made 14 pars on the day including on her final hole.
- Malate is one of 13 players in the field to shoot under par for the first two rounds.
- Malate shot a two-under 70 and was tied for fourth after the first round. She made two birdies, a bogey and five pars on each set of nine holes.
Kajsa Arwefjäll finished at 6-over 150, over her two rounds. She shot 74-76 in her first appearance at the ANWA.
Both Spartans will play a practice round on Friday at Augusta National Golf Club.
