Morgado who was from San Jose. His life was cut short during active duty in Zharay, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his patrol with an improvised explosive device (May 23, 2012). He also has connections to San José State as his maternal grandparents and an aunt are Spartan alumni.
