SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San José State women's tennis team (4-5) earned the 4-0 sweep over cross-town rival Santa Clara (0-7) on Wednesday behind straight-set wins from Lara Marco Mas, Rozalina Youseva and Alba Pedrero Galindo.
- The Spartans earned the doubles point after a 6-0 win from Jovana Babic and Marco Mas, followed by a 6-4 win by Carolina Millan and Pedrero Gallindo
- Marco Mas stayed hot, winning 6-2, 6-1 in her singles match to put the Spartans up 2-0
- Youseva followed in the No. 4 match with a 6-1, 6-4 win, her ninth of the season in singles, to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead
- Pedrero Galindo finished things out with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 1 slot
UP NEXT: The Spartans will be back at the Spartan Tennis Complex on Tuesday for a match against the University of San Francisco. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
