Freiman Leads SJSU in Day One of CSCAA National Championship

ELKHART, Ind. - Ela Freiman recorded the fifth fastest 200-yard IM in SJSU history to place 10th with a 2:02.35 in day one of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Elkhart, Ind. at the Beacon Heath Aquatic Center. 

  • Cali Rowland placed 34th in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 29.23 to record the third fastest time in SJSU history.
  • Zsófia Muzsnay finished with a time of 25.29 to record the sixth fastest 50-yard butterfly in SJSU history. 
  • Ellie Shorten recorded a personal best in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 26.79.
  • The 400-yard medley relay team of Laís Gasparini e Silva, Rowland, Muzsnay, and Shorten placed 22nd overall with a time of 3:44.57.
