SAN DIEGO – Alyssa Graham hit her fifth home run of the season and Reina Zermeno hit her third career home run to lead San José State (15-18, 3-4 MW) in a 5-4 loss at San Diego State (20-10, 4-3 MW) in the first game of a three-game series from SDSU Softball Stadium on Friday evening.
Zermeno made it interesting in the bottom of the seventh inning by hitting a two-run home run with two outs, but the Spartans couldn't tie the game up.
- Graham went 2-for-3 and leads the team with her five home runs, plus extended her on-base streak to 15 straight games
- Zermeno went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and has an RBI in three of her last four games
- Jessica Giacoma went 1-for-3 with her third double of the season
- Adrianna Noriega went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base
- Ashley Rico also had a hit on the night
- Jenessa Ullegue pitched 6.0 IP while striking out three
