MOUNTAIN WEST ANNOUNCEMENT
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Jack Colette of the San José State baseball team has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. Colette, a redshirt senior from Torrance, Calif., led the Spartans to a series win at New Mexico with a dominant performance at the plate. The Spartans lost on Thursday but rallied for back-to-back wins on Friday and Saturday.
- In three games, Colette hit 7-for-15 with two triples, two doubles, one home run and six RBIs.
- In total, he led the Spartans with 16 total bases.
- On Friday and Saturday, he had two straight games with at least three hits as he went 3-for-5 on Friday and 4-for-6 on Saturday.
- In Saturday's win, Colette hit two triples, becoming the eighth Spartan in school history to hit multiple triples in a game.
- The Spartans' center fielder hit a three-run home run on Saturday.
- On Thursday, he swiped his team-leading seventh stolen base of the season.
- This is Colette's first time being honored as the Mountain West Player of the Week.

- Colette becomes the fourth Spartan this season to be named the Mountain West Player of the Week, joining Hunter Dorraugh (Feb. 20), Robert Hamchuk (March 13) and Charles McAdoo (April 3).
