SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (17-21, 5-7 MW) heads to Fresno State (16-21, 5-4 MW) for a doubleheader on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Margie Wright Diamond and both games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.

  • Alyssa Graham hit two home runs against Colorado State (4/6-8) including a game changing grand slam (has two grand slams this season) and has eight home runs to lead the Spartans. The SJSU record is 13 in a season by Brittany McConnell in 2008. Graham has four home runs in her last six games overall.
  • Freshman Reina Zermeno hit .615 with a slugging percentage of 1.077 and had a home run, eight hits, five runs scored, four RBIs, three doubles, plus stole a pair of bases and had 10 putouts at UNM (3/24-26).
  • Zermeno has only struck out six times this season (96 at-bats) which is third best in the Mountain West.
  • Jenessa Ullegue pitched her second 7.0 IP one-hitter of the season vs. Nevada (3/18) while striking out 11 which earned her her first Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors (3/21). Ullegue has twice gone to the seventh inning with a no hitter this season and has 24 strikeouts in her last two starts on the mound. 
  • It was Ullegue's third career 7.0 IP one-hitter and she only walked one on the night. It was also the 10th time in Ullegue's career she's thrown 7.0 IP of shutout ball.
  • Ullegue has 337 career strikeouts and is only the sixth SJSU pitcher to go over 300 strikeouts in her career. Corina Lilly is fifth on the all-time list with 376 career strikeouts.
  • SJSU's walk-off win against Pacific (3/22) is their third true walk-off win of the season (URI on 3/12, UNR on 3/17). The Spartans also have two run rule walk-off's this season against Saint Mary's (2/25) and Sac State (2/25) with both ending in five innings.

UP NEXT: The Spartans host Boise State on Saturday and Sunday with first pitch on Saturday set for 3:00 p.m. and Sunday at noon. Both games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.
