SAN JOSE, Calif.—Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark tossed 6.2 innings, allowing only two runs on three hits while striking out three to lead the San José State baseball team (16-13, 9-4 Mountain West) in a 6-2 win over UNLV (14-18, 7-9 Mountain West) on Friday night at Excite Ballpark. Jeriah Lewis hit a three-run home run and Theo Hardy went 4-for-4 with an RBI double to power the Spartans offensively.
- Jack White pitched 1.1 scoreless innings of relief and did not allow a hit while striking out three.
- RHP Darren Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth inning.
- Matt Spear went 2-for-4 with a double and led the Spartans with two runs scored.
- Charles McAdoo hit his team-leading 13th double of the season.
- Hunter Dorraugh produced an RBI double.
- Clark picked up his second win of the season.
- Lewis' home run was his second home run of the season.
