SAN JOSE, Calif. – Carolina Millan sealed the win with a tiebreak shutout for San José State (9-10, 4-4 MW) as they knocked off first-place Air Force (10-9, 6-2 MW) 4-2 on Senior Day.
- Millan won in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 with a 7-0 tiebreak shutout in the No. 1 singles match, which clinched the win for the Spartans.
- After falling in the doubles match, Alba Pedrero Galindo put SJSU on the board with a 6-4, 6-2 straight-sets win to make it 2-1.
- In the No. 3 match, Irena Muradyan was able to tie the match 2-2 with a 6-4, 6-3 win in straight sets.
- Rozalina Youseva followed with a 6-2, 7-5 win in straight sets at No. 4 to give the Spartans a 3-2 lead.
- After taking the first set 6-5, Millan trailed 5-3 in the second set before rallying to win in tiebreak and clinch the match for SJSU.
- In the No. 6 match, Olaya Bances Iglesias forced a third set with a 6-4 win in the second set, but the match went unfinished.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will be back on the road for their final-regular season weekend. They'll travel to Las Vegas to take on San Diego State on April 21 and UNLV on April 22.
